The NBCI Grand Rounds objectives included;
Influencing hospital administrators across the country to vigorously implement protocols set forth by the American College of Emergency Physicians and State Regulators concerning treatment of Sickle Cell patients in an emergency setting.
Educate and empower Sickle Cell warriors, Sickle Cell organizations, the Black Church, and Sickle Cell families to vigorously advocate for consistent standards of care. Educate physicians to hold their colleagues and hospitals to a higher, consistent standard of care.
